Forecast Discussion:
Cloudy to mostly cloudy and quiet weather will be with us overnight tonight before our weather turns quite active and changeable Friday with the arrival of a storm. Lows will be in the upper 20s to mid 30s.

A developing storm is on the way to the northeast Friday. We are dry early in the day but precipitation chances will be increasing substantially for the afternoon. Some snow, or at the very least, a mix, is possible for a period of time before the atmosphere warms and turns to all rain again. The best chance of snow will be above about 1500ft. As much as 2” of snow could fall where snow does develop. Not everyone will see snowfall accumulations. Valleys are expected to stay mainly all rain at this time. The chance of precipitation is 100% with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Temperatures actually could increase Friday night before crashing toward sunrise Saturday. Rainfall will range from 0.33” well west to perhaps as much as 1.25” southeast. Most of the area we should fall in the 0.40-0.80” range.

Saturday and Sunday will be colder with highs in the 30s to near 40 both days. A few snow showers are possible Saturday, but overall, we expect a sun and cloud mix with long precipitation-free periods. It will be windy with wind chills in the teens.

Sunday looks great with high pressure in control. Highs stay in the 30s with a bit of a breeze still possible. Next week shows some colder weather on the way and a coastal storm on Tuesday. There is a chance this storm will bring rain and or snow to the area so please continue to monitor the Storm Track 12 forecast for any changes. Wednesday and Thursday feels like winter with highs barely making to the freezing point.
