Some snow showers will be with us tonight and through parts of Friday as a series of cold front swings through our area. Overnight lows will be in the upper teens to low 20s. Snowfall accumulations will range from a Trace-1 with up to 2” in persistent, or heavier, snow showers. The area-wide impact to Friday morning’s drive will be LOW. Winds will switch to the NW and possibly gust 20-23mph at times. Blowing snow could produce locally low visibility.
Colder weather is coming in for Friday. Highs will only be in the low to mid 20s. Some lake effect snow is likely, too. Accumulations will likely be limited to perhaps 1-2” in the band. Little to no accumulation will develop outside lake snows. Wind chills will be near 10 degrees at times.
Saturday looks pretty quiet. There could be a few flurries or snow showers in the afternoon, but impactful accumulations are not expected at this time. Highs stay in the upper 20s with lows in the teens.
Sunday through Thursday will be uncharacteristically quiet! We do not foresee any significant weather at this time through the period. Highs will linger within a few degrees of freezing and lows drop into the teens. Bonus? We may even get some extended periods of December sunshine! Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves just yet, though.
