A few clouds linger tonight along with some clear sky. It turns much less humid and cooler as well. Lows will range in the low 50s to near 60.
High pressure continues to build south into the Great Lakes from Canada and brings some very comfortable, if not cool, weather to the area for the weekend. Highs Friday and Saturday will be in the low 70s degrees. There is a bit of uncertainty with cloud cover because the air aloft will be marginally cold enough to perhaps produce some lake effect clouds, and with any lake clouds, there would be a very small chance of an isolated sprinkle. The chance of any precipitation is less than 10%.
Sunday may bring a few more clouds courtesy of a marine layer coming in from the east. If this situation develops, there would be a small chance of a shower over the upslope portions of the Catskills.
For those that do not like the humidity, this could turn out to be one of the most comfortable weekends of the summer! With such a cool, dry air mass in place, overnight lows will easily drop into the low 50s. There will definitely be some 40s for overnight lows in the normally cooler valleys for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
