Forecast Discussion:
We’ll start with some high clouds and sun Saturday and by later in the day more sun is expected to break out. Highs will stay below average; in the mid 30s.

Some scattered, light snow showers are possible early Sunday morning and then maybe a few rain or snow showers later in the day. Highs climb back into the mid 40s. The forecast turns much more active Monday.

A cold front will slide through the area and an area of low pressure is expected to move northeast along it. We’ll likely see rain showers in the afternoon. By evening some rain and snow could mix in and overnight there is a chance of wintry mixed or just snow. This could result in some snowfall accumulations toward Tuesday morning’s commute. Stay with the Weather Authority all weekend long as we monitor this potential. Highs Monday will be in the low 40s.

Behind the storm Tuesday, Arctic cold comes slamming into the area. We could experience some record low temperatures. Highs Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 20s with lows in the teens. Wednesday brings highs in the low 20s! Some lake effect snow showers are expected.

Thursday and Friday will remain quiet with highs moderating into the mid to upper 30s.
